Philosophy
Home The philosophy of Medical Care Professionals, Inc., (MCP) is based on
humanistic ideals. We believe in the dignity of the individual. Our outlook is
holistic--we see people as biologic, psychosocial, and spiritual beings in
dynamic relationship with their total environment. Our aim is to seek a
satisfactory resolution of the client's health problems taking his total self and
situation into consideration.

We believe that the home environment and family relationships promote
healing and health, and that regardless of socioeconomic status, everyone who
wants health care at home should have access to it. We include the client and
his family and/or significant others in the health care team along with nurses,
doctors, social workers, and others involved in the client’s care. We seek to
involve family members and prepare them to participate effectively and
appropriately in the care of the client.

Our view of nursing care is comprehensive. We see that it is the
promotion, conservation, and restoration of the individual's patterns of physical
and psychosocial health. It functions as part of the individual's patterns of physical
includes preventive, therapeutic and rehabilitative care of the client. The
nursing process is a systematic method of problem solving which includes
actions intended to resolve or mitigate a problem. The multiplicity of nursing
functions are appropriately performed by individuals with varying levels of
preparation.
